About

I'm Shivam Jaglan, a member of the investments team at Kae Capital in Bengaluru, where I focus on AI investments. My career has taken me from software engineering and research internships to co-founding a startup, then into product management roles at companies like Piramal Finance, and now into venture capital. I'm passionate about AI, generative technologies, and practical workflow automation—I believe in building tools that solve specific, painful tasks efficiently. I'm actively looking to connect with founders, especially those building in the AI space, and I offer investment support and operational insights. I love engaging with the startup ecosystem, from hackathons to networking events, and I bring a hands-on, enthusiastic approach to everything I do.

  • Co-founded Swas, creating a personal fitness training tool and marketplace.

Opinions

  • Believes in 'learning to unlearn, relearn, break biases.'
  • Expresses that in 2025, venture capital shifted to fund only companies that 'actually worked,' with growth without retention and scale without unit economics being punished. Believes Series A became 'a hard proof point for business viability' rather than a reward for momentum.
  • Strongly advocates for practical automation over flashy solutions. Believes 'the best workflows... are five steps. Maybe eight' and that 'not everything needs an LLM.'
  • Opines that effective tools solve specific, painful, 'boring' tasks that eat up hours, not just broad, complex problems.
