About
Pankaj is currently Sr. VP IT at Ultratech Cement Ltd since July 2022. He has joined Aditya Birla Group as GM – Group IT since Dec, 2013. He is responsible for overall IT Infra service delivery to all group businesses globally through internal IT infra shared service center. His responsibilities mainly spans across managed services in datacenter, public cloud, network and security domains. Pankaj has steered, planned and successfully executed Datacenter migration. Currently spearheading a universal service desk program leading to uniform end user experience across group under ITIL framework. Additionally, working on various automation projects to improve operational efficiency, cloud initiatives ,WAN Optimizations and security related projects like DLP’s, ISO 27001 certifications etc. He is also responsible for IT services transitioning from existing partners to internal shared service center for newly acquired global companies like Birla Carbon leading to enormous reduction of IT costs to business. Pankaj was with Vodafone India Ltd from June 2009 till Nov 2013 as Head IT and is responsible for various IT infrastructure strategic initiatives leading to solution for faster delivery to business through cost effectiveness. He has steered and successfully completed various strategic initiatives like the virtualization journey on wintel & unix platform,leading to long term IAAS cloud strategy, ISO 20000 DC Services certification,global programs on exchange and domain transition and Vodafone datacenter strategy. He has also driven the private cloud service delivery platform strategy and is representing India Opco in Vodafone global community. Pankaj was GM - Reliance communications from September 2002 till May 2009 and was responsible for rendering IT Service delivery, project management and running 24x7 Operations for datacenter managed services for entire ADAG group companies including RCOM and external customers. Pankaj has more than 32+ year’s experience in planning & engineering and service delivery & operations in IT infrastructure.
