About

I'm G. Saravanan, a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Meta, where I focus on building the future of wearable technology. My work centers on large-scale ML systems and multimodal AI sensing for products like Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta smart glasses. My journey has taken me from research labs at Purdue and Columbia to developing predictive healthcare algorithms at Siemens Healthineers, always with a focus on the intersection of high-performance deep learning and hardware constraints. I'm passionate about on-device AI and sensor fusion—essentially teaching devices to understand human activity through vision, audio, and inertial data. I’m often looking for talented interns to join our Motion Sensors team at Reality Labs and enjoy connecting with researchers and engineers who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in AR/VR and Edge ML.
