Intro
I'm Steve Lomeli, a Software Engineer at Google currently focused on building scalable AI/ML solutions for Risk and Compliance. My path into tech was a bit non-traditional; I graduated with a Business Honors degree from Texas McCombs while teaching myself the ropes of engineering through internships at Amazon and Google. I’ve been fortunate enough to build systems that saved millions of dollars and thousands of hours, but what I’m most proud of is being a first-generation student and the eldest of six siblings. I’m deeply passionate about mentorship, leadership, and increasing diversity in the tech space—specifically within the #latinosintech community. Whether it’s discussing the intersection of product and engineering or sharing my journey from business to code, I’m always thrilled to give back and help others grow. I’m looking to connect with folks interested in community engagement, public speaking, or anyone navigating their own unique path in technology.
